Rainy Day Thoughts

It's been raining since noon, and now it's about 5 o'clock. I have a pot roast in the crockpot, because let's face it- I don't feel like cooking. I'm sick with a cold, and tired from the school week. Thank god it's Friday!

I've been lagging so much on blogging, I want to take it more seriously- but don't know what to blog about exactly. My life isn't all that exciting from day-to-day. I'm a full-time student, living with my boyfriend and our Yorkie baby.

One thing that's been acting up lately is my PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). I've been making it a habit to workout 4 to 5 days a week, and I've been doing this since mid-December. I have not lost any weight. Granted, I know losing weight takes time and it doesn't happen over night. BUT- to be honest I've gained weight since December. How? Well, I can thank my PCOS for that. I've recently made an appointment with a doctor to see if I have any other options. PCOS makes it super extremely hard to lose weight. What's so unbelievably frustrating is I don't know anyone with this. I have connected with other women over instagram- and they are amazing! But in person, in my everyday life? I feel so alone in this journey. Thankfully, my family and boyfriend have been very supportive. The thing about PCOS is, I'll have my good days and I'll have my really bad days.

I hope to connect with more women who have this syndrome one day, and I hope for a cure! Living with this is no fun. If you are sitting there wondering what PCOS is, google it. I've been diagnosed for a year now. But before being diagnosed with it- I too had NO idea what it was.

These are just my random rainy day thoughts. I'm waiting for Dexter to come home, so he can take care of my sick butt. Happy weekend everyone, take care.

Easter Sunday in Sausalito.

Sunday consisted of beautiful sunny skies, with temperature around 70 degrees in Sausalito. Sausalito is one of my favorite places to go visit in the bay area, as it's a super short drive from where my boyfriend and I live. We love going to this French restaurant called Le Garage, that we discovered a couple years ago on our first trip to the Bay Area together {back in 2011}.

Of course we ordered some mimosas (what is brunch without them?) and delicious burgers. I really recommend going to Le Garage if you are in town, or in the general area of Sausalito! I promise you will not be disappointed!

My boyfriend and I spent the day going on a drive and just enjoying each-others company! My twin sister (yes, I have a fraternal twin) is coming up this Friday from Southern California to visit me for the weekend! I can't wait to bring her to Le Garage & show her around San Francisco! I think it will be a great sister-time weekend, bonding and having a lot of fun together.

Of course a blog post would be boring without a picture of Lola girl! I took this the morning of Easter Sunday. Two of my favorite things in the whole world: Lola and Miss Audrey Hepburn!

A New Beginning...

It's been such a long time since I've sat down and wrote a blog post. Life has been really crazy, and for the longest time I didn't feel like anyone cared about what I had to write, so why write? Well, I don't feel that way anymore, if no one reads this- it doesn't matter. I will write simply for my own enjoyment. Writing has always been one of my favorite things to do, and I think it's time to do it again and document fun things that happen in my life. I am currently finishing up my Spring semester, as it is ending in about 6 weeks. I am SO over school at this point, but I know I have to keep on pushing through because I am no where near done yet... Sigh. Although I whine and complain, I really do enjoy school. I really put all my energy into it, especially since it's my full-time job right now. I'm pulling good grades, and even made Dean's List last semester {Fall 2013}! Woohoo!


My heart is taken, as I have been dating my boyfriend Dexter for 2 and a half years next month! It's so exciting sharing our lives together and being with someone who really shares the same interests as I do. I'm sure this sounds cheesy, but he is truly my best friend and we are tied at the hip! We are so inseparable, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My boyfriend and I are getting ready to move into a new apartment next month! Two weeks from today we will put in our 2 week notice. Lord knows I am so over this TINY apartment, and I am ready for an UP-grade! Although I absolutely dread moving, I am dying to get out of my current apartment complex and cannot wait to pack up all our things!


Lola Mae, my 5 year old Yorkie is still my only child. Anyone that knows me personally, knows I am OBSESSED with my Yorkie. She is my best friend, and I couldn't imagine life without her. Lola is so sassy, smart, and very loving- she makes my world go round. Dex and I love taking her to her favorite park in San Francisco (Golden Gate Park) on the weekends. Her favorite place to be is outdoors walking and chasing pigeons.
